Gentle Sandstone Cleaning with Soda Blasting

This method is ideal for the restoration of historical monuments, facades, tombstones, and decorative elements because baking soda is safe for humans and the environment (it is biodegradable) and does not damage the structure of the cleaned material. Particles of baking soda with a specially selected granulation are accelerated by compressed air and strike the stone surface.

Upon impact, the granules break apart on the surface, effectively lifting and removing contaminants without damaging the stone. Baking soda is softer than sand, which protects delicate surfaces. In addition, its alkaline properties help break down grease and other types of contamination.
